Fridays With Carol Shields: The Stone Diaries

Y’all!!! (Pulling out the “I lived in North Carolina for 5 years” shtick...#authentic) You’ve read about my undying love for Carol Shields. I just finished The Stone Diaries...I don’t think I had read it in over 20 years. (I’ve re-read all her others a few times over.) Wowowowowowowowow. I know, dumbest “book review” ever, but once in a while there are those books where all you can say is “wow.” Excuse me while I go contemplate life.

You may not be able to find Shields’ work at most bookstores any longer, but her work is undoubtedly still readily available at your library — in fact, I spotted her first novel at mine yesterday. #CarolShields #ReadIt
