Marrying the Ketchups

Aw, this book is like Early Morning Riser (Katherine Heiny)-plus. Jennifer Close’s Marrying the Ketchups summoned legitimate lols from me (a character who only wears cold-shoulder tops…a preschool teacher and her unbridled enthusiasm…a mistress who poses her bunnies for Facebook…someone named Bryce…) and was a genuinely heartwarming take on what it means to “adult.” This is my kind of summer read: humorous family saga with sharp social commentary. (Marrying the Ketchups takes place 2016 and onward.)

I mean, I finished the book and then floated in a pool for over an hour and possibly fell asleep. This is very unlike me, and I’m going to chalk it up to an epic post-read good mood. #SummerRead
