The Sorrows of Others

Here’s an excellent short story collection about the ways that we inch closer to people, the ways we back away from or are repelled by people (or how they might be taken from us), and, ultimately, the ways we might partake in a back-and-forth dance to be part of an interconnected relationship that rests in equilibrium. In other words, a perfect Venn diagram illustrating the ebbs and flows of the human population, but on a super micro level.

“… one’s interest in others is a door that is opened by one’s own suffering.”
