Tell Me Everything

Oh, this one just might be my favorite. It likely isn’t most people’s favorite Elizabeth Strout novel (too many good ones to choose from!) — and pretty sure I wouldn’t recommend Tell Me Everything as anyone’s first foray into Strout’s catalog — but I think this is still my favorite.

Any time I read her work, I feel like Elizabeth Strout is in my head … which I imagine is what many people think. That, of course, is the magic of Elizabeth Strout. Reading Tell Me Everything was like a daily devotion of sorts.

What is love? What is the point of a life? What’s up with those instantaneous and deep connections you just feel with certain people? (That one’s my favorite.) Just a few minor questions one must ponder while reading. Spiritual philosophy, accessible to all.

(Let me put it this way: I own only about half of Elizabeth Strout’s books, and some are on my Kindle. Once all our books are unpacked from storage and work is done on our house [amazing book wall incoming!], I will be buying physical copies of alllll her books. I could read Tell Me Everything, in particular, over and over. Collection worthy, for sure.)
