People recommend something (book, music, place to travel, whatever!) partly because they believe it to be unequivocally and objectively “good” from a quality and taste perspective, but also sometimes because it has made an impression on the recommender emotionally. This one doesn’t live on our shelves; it lives with our other Christmas decorations. And that means that every year when I pull it out, it feels like a new surprise. Merry Christmas!
