Jack Murphy Memorial Stephen King Fest

I really love this idea: A woman posted in our town’s Facebook “Book Group” (mostly swaps/recommendations) about something called the Jack Murphy Memorial Stephen King Fest. This is a 4-month-long reading challenge started by the daughter of Jack Murphy, who died 20 years ago. The challenge is three-pronged: 1) To honor Jack Murphy; 2) To raise money for the Jimmy Fund, which benefits Dana-Farber — Darlene, the daughter, will donate money for every Stephen King book read; 3) To enjoy the spooky Halloween season. 👻🎃

Isn’t this a great idea? Darlene said it was ok for me to post about this, so if you’d like to participate, let me know.

It goes until January 24, 2022. I’m going to try to read at least one Stephen King book. I’ve only read bits and pieces of On Writing, which is not really what they’re going for methinks. So what should I start with? Recommendations, please!
